Non-contact measurement with ChromaLine camera

Vision systems have a dual role:

- Provide a good quality image of the sample surface at the desired magnification

- Process the image to detect and analyze certain predefined features or textures

Although processing units are becoming more and more powerful, the main limitation of current vision systems is their very shallow depth of field (a few tens of µm or less, depending on the numerical aperture).

Because of this limitation, expensive and complicated Z-scanning systems and/or auto-focusing mechanisms are required to view samples with larger Z-extension and moving samples.

Chromaline camera incorporating chromatic confocal microscopy technology is a technology that enables the design of optical systems with a very large depth of field (up to several mm).

With Chromaline camera, frequency acquisition is available up to 199,500 lines/second.

DESCRIPTION

For samples anywhere in the extended depth of focus, these systems provide a sharp, high-quality, perfectly focused image.

Chromaline camera combines the merits of color coding and traditional confocal microscopes. Chromatic microscopes consist of a slit illuminated by a polychromatic light source, a high quality chromatic lens, a beam splitter and a 4K line camera.

The acquisition rate is available up to 199,500 lines/second with this new high-speed line camera.

VERSIONS

The standard Chromaline cameras are available in five versions: Nano, Micro, Wire, Deep and SuperView.

From the high numerical aperture NA 0.7 to the extended line width up to 12.5mm, the minimum resolution is 0.43µm² on the sample.

The maximum acquisition rate is 199,500 lines/second.

For OEM specifications, Chromaline camera versions are specifically customized.
