Marposs has developed ID SCAN, a new semi-automatic system, with manual loading/unloading, dedicated to bore diameter and profile measurement. It is available in two versions: ID SCAN CE for use at the cold-end and ID SCAN HE for the hot-end.
To achieve accurate measurements ID SCAN uses a single contact tactile sensor. It can measure automatically and without any mechanical retooling, bore diameters in the range 13-50mm, at one or more depths, and it can also perform vertical scans, to determine the internal shape, up to a depth of 70mm from the top. The result of inner diameter measurement is maximum, minimum and average values at the programmed depth and a graphic showing the bore real shape is also available. The result of the internal profile measurement is a graphic showing the diameter variation in the scanned area.
Into White Good industry context, the dryers heat pump leak testing application is a high-tech end-of-line test which allows the Manufacturer to guarantee a very high quality in its final product, without giving up the high productivity they must keep to satisfy market demand with actual production sites.
The automatic leak test lines have been installed on the production lines of the dryer heat pump assembly. In the context of the white goods industry, the dryer heat pump leak test application is a high-tech end-of-line test that allows the manufacturer to guarantee a very high quality of its final product, without giving up the high productivity that it must maintain to satisfy the market demand with real production sites.
Chromatic confocal technology exploits the principle that through appropriate optical design techniques, white light is broken down into its constituent wavelengths: colors from blue to red that, when properly sized, produce a range of sensors and controllers with excellent metrological performances.
Marposs offers accurate solutions down to the nanometer level for measuring distance, roughness, profiles, 3D reconstructions, and image analysis for defect control. Confocal probes could also be implemented to measure the thickness of single and multilayer transparent materials such as glass and plastic.
Optical gauges are the preferred quality control solution for electric vehicle manufacturers and their component suppliers. All vehicle manufacturers are accelerating their development activities in order to enter the market as quickly as possible with various solutions. As a result, the distance between the R&D phases and the production launch is shrinking, which makes it increasingly necessary to control components in the phases where they are continuously revised and updated. For this reason, the flexibility of optical gauges is a crucial asset, as they can measure components of different shapes and sizes with very short cycle times.
Thanks to our decades of experience in the optical field, Marposs has developed the new VTS (Visual Tool Setter) product line with a CCD sensor, 100% completely designed and produced by Marposs. Why optical technology? Because it transcends the limits of traditional devices making tools with extremely complex shapes, measurable with a level of accuracy that no other kind of device can reach. Then, if you combine the power of optical technology in different industrial environments, the result is a perfect product not only for the traditional metal cutting processes, but also for new growing markets like Semiconductors, Biomedical, Ceramics etc.
The semiconductor industry is one of the most vibrant sectors. It is no exaggeration to say that the evolution of semiconductor technology has supported the evolution of mankind. Semiconductors are mainly applied in electric vehicles, data centers, smartphones, and factory automation equipment. This is an area that Marposs has focused on in the past, and now more than ever .
Therefore, the role of back-grinding machines is very important in the evolution of semiconductors. However, if a wafer is ground thin without any control, it will break due to the load of the wheel or scratches during the thinning operation.
