Thanks to the use of optical transmission, the VOP40L touch probe system can be used to measure parts, position them and check that they are aligned correctly inside lathes or machining centres of any size.
VOP40L optical system can be used to inspect the part rapidly during the machining process and check that it is aligned correctly. This means that it is possible to eliminate manual setting errors, as well as any correcting any data that may have been entered incorrectly, thereby reducing machining time and improving production quality.
The system uses modular optical technology, which has been optimised in order to ensure the maximum immunity to interference from any light sources that may be present in the working area, in order to guarantee efficient, reliable performance.
In addition to ensuring secure optical transmission, the system can also be used to handle up to four MIDA probes in sequential mode, using a single VOI interface.
Furthermore, the VOP40L system represents the ideal solution for dual turret applications, thanks to the use of multi-channel optical technology, which means that it is possible to manage two VOP40L probes simultaneously and independently
Thanks to its robust mechanical build, VOP40L is highly resistant to chips and coolant.
The probe is used together with the VOI receiver, with integrated interface.
