Conflict Minerals and the Conflict-Free Smelter Program

Statement of Awareness

Marposs is very much aware of the human, social and political cost caused by illicit trading and procurement of minerals from conflict areas.

We take pride in enforcing social responsibility and we pay continuous attention to any development in related US and EU legislation.

Since 2013, Marposs companies have regularly sought full disclosure from their suppliers and verified the status of upstream smelters. So far, available evidence and documents give us no reason to believe that metals made from conflict minerals are present in our products. Should the problem arise, Marposs will take due actions to implement a positive solution or at least to minimize its impact as much as possible.
