System Networking Engineer

Responsibilities

The candidate will join the IT department of the parent company MARPOSS S.p.A. and will be part of the IT Operations team. They will be responsible for participating in the management and technological support of the entire network infrastructure of the company and the MARPOSS Group, developing and governing the life cycle of various systems and technologies, together with the IT teams of other companies in the Group.

Profile
We are looking for a candidate with solid experience in complex corporate networks that extend across a global context, interconnecting multiple companies. The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
•    Passion for IT, particularly hardware, operating systems, and physical and virtual networking, both on-premises and in the cloud
•    Basic knowledge of scripting, programming, databases, and security
•    extensive experience in managing Linux and Windows systems
•    extensive experience in managing switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and directories
•    solid experience with network protocols and major cloud technologies
•    experience in managing telecommunications, wired, DECT, and cellular networks and related fixed, mobile, and smartphone devices
• Willingness to learn more about the operational, architectural, and management aspects of IT
•    willingness to travel occasionally and for short periods
•    aptitude for maintaining service levels, managing complex systems, and troubleshooting, including in collaboration with other teams
•    official certifications, e.g., in networking (e.g., Cisco), operating systems (e.g., Windows), or management (e.g., ITIL, PMP), will be considered a plus

An aptitude for planning, architectural design of IT solutions and integrations, and the creation of architectural and operational documentation will also be considered a preferred requirement for the selection of the candidate.
