The modern requirements for the manufacturing process of mechanical components revolve around the key concept of full flexibility: the manufacturing process needs to be reconfigurable, traceable and mobile. Quality expectation has never been higher and even more so, for more complex components and small-batch production.

Marposs provides a line of extremely advanced manual variable gauges for post-process quality control. This gauge line monitors and improves our customers’ quality by providing the best measuring performance on the market (sub-micron precision), and, through Marposs Industrial computers, measurements storage and statistical analysis. Thanks to the interchangeable gauge head system, the Marposs gauges are the ideal solution to control high precision bores (Ø 3.0 mm to 375 mm), shafts diameters, depths and countersinks, among others.

Marposs innovative i-Wave2 Bluetooth wireless handle is the most advanced and precise solution for manual off-line measurement. This solution greatly reduces gauging operations time and chances for human mistakes, even compared with other variable gauges. Its ease of use also helps our customers reducing costs for operators’ training: with its integrated color screen it displays the measurement value and part status directly in the operator’s hand. By pressing one of the ergonomic twin buttons, the measurement result is automatically uploaded via secure Bluetooth transmission to a Marposs gauge computer or a portable device app, making the measurement cycle even easier and faster and more error-proof.

The I-Wave2 can be used either as a stand-alone gauge, since the integrated screen provides all the information necessary to the operator, or as part of more advanced solution. In case of multiple gauges applications, Marposs software and computers can be programmed to guide through the part check by automatically turning on the screen of the correct I-Wave2 to use. These innovative features, in combination with the ability to provide statistical analysis and to communicate with the factory system make Marposs the ideal choice for advanced dimensional inspection in mass production plant. 

The Marposs I-Wave2 Bore gauge can reduce our customers’ management costs: the wireless solution prevents entanglement and allow for an easier set up and gauge management, the innovative inductive battery charger grants a 24/7 use. This gauge is designed to withstand the presence of water and oil in the environments (IP67) and the use in the most severe shop floor conditions.

How to make the I-Wave2 bore gauge even better? Marposs improves our customers’ experience with the new Ready2Gauge App. This app, available for free for IOS tablets and, soon, for Android and Windows PC, allows to directly program the gauge, to manage parts gauging configurations and to save and export data. The Ready2Gauge complements the I-Wave2 in all the situations that do not require the advanced functions of a gauging computer.
