MARPOSS ACQUIRES LEHREN - UND MESSGERÄTEWERK SCHMALKALDEN
AN ACQUISITION WHICH REINFORCES MARPOSS PRESENCE IN THE GERMAN MARKET
On December 19th, 2018 Marposs acquired the full ownership of LEHREN - UND MESSGERÄTEWERK SCHMALKALDEN GmbH, a German Company active in the field of manufacturing and sales of precision measuring equipment.
Founded in 1938 by the Mahr brothers, SCHMALKALDEN has become an important German player. With its assortment the company established a new approach to quality, not only by modern technical equipment, but also by the high technical knowledge of its employees. To reach the highest quality standards Schmalkalden permanently conducts research and development, both to optimize the whole measuring-process and operate with newest measurement and control processes in production.
This acquisition is part of the strategy defined in recent years aimed to support the Group's growth by consolidating Marposs presence in the world markets.
