HELIUM LEAK TEST OF BALANCE OF PLANT
When the leakage threshold is very low, leak test using helium as trace gas is the best and most accurate solution. The tightness of all the BoP components (valves and multi-valves, pumps, piping, fittings, etc…) is checked to ensure the overall functionality of the fuel cell system.
SOFC COMPONENTS
AIR LEAK TEST OF CELLS & SEMI-CELLS
The tightness of the SOFC (semi)cell is verified mainly to assess the electrolyte’s permeability, which has to be limited to prevent a detrimental gas crossover within the cell.
GAUGING AND INSPECTION
Dimensional characteristics of SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cell) units are assessed through visual examination, complemented by the application of machine learning techniques for defect identification.
