Senior Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

The figure, placed in the technical department of the product development area, will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of assembly lines and testing machines for the production of measuring sensors.
He/She will design mechanical parts for complex testing machines and assembly lines dedicated to our products, managing the joining of lean commercial parts with components according to drawings. He/She will produce technical documentation for the use of equipment and will collaborate with the automation department for the co-engineering of hardware and software parts. He/She will also be required to support extraordinary maintenance of equipment and to restart equipment.

Profile

Candidates with a technical qualification, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical diploma with experience in design will be considered.

Basic requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of CAD design systems (CREO preferable) and passion, interest and experience in mechanical technologies (lathes, milling machines, grinding machines)
• Ability and interest in alternating pure mechanical design with technical intervention in a production environment
• Creativity and solution orientation, taking into account the resources (time and costs) required

Preferred characteristics:

• Ability to work in a team on a daily basis; high ability to listen and dialogue with other team members
• Ability to interact with third parties, typically design suppliers or suppliers of mechanical components
• At least five years of experience for those candidates with a B.D. in Engineering and ten years for those with a high school diploma

Experience in manufacturing and personal interest in manual tasks will be positively valued

Compensation and benefits

The candidate will be hired in accordance with salary transparency regulations (italian law D.Lgs. 96/2026) and based on their actual experience in the field, with a total annual compensation ranging between €40,000 to €45,000
