MULTICHANNEL UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC FOR NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST OF MATERIAL PROPERTY AND MATERIAL INTEGRITY BY EDDY CURRENT PROBES
The development of the new generation electronic E70s represents a significant step forward for the solution of complex applications which require the use of a large number of sensors.
With the wide modularity offered by the system, it is possible to configure measuring solutions from a minimum of two channels to a maximum of twelve, further expandable by means of external multiplexers.
The system is able to store up to 256 setting parameters for each one of the 12 sensors. These can be directly connected to the E70s, thus allowing extensive tests for every kind of part that needs to be checked.
A wide range of hardware configurations can suit specific applications. The E70s is available with local or remote operator panels, providing various mounting solutions.
With the new E70s, and a mechanical structure properly designed, today it is possible to verify the material property as well as the surface integrity of parts having a wide surface to be checked, in automatic mode at 100% in the production line. For example:
The E70s electronic unit is connected to twenty-seven ND sensors through a multiplexer and can check the five main bearings and the four pin bearings of the crankshaft making three revolutions.

Two E70s are connected to 16 ND sensors for the simultaneous checking of ten lobes and six journals of the camshaft. The sensors scan the entire surface of the shaft.

The E70s electronic unit is connected to the ND sensors mounted on the rotating plug for the porosity test of the four cylinder bores.
Scanning time for the whole inner surface of a single bore is 4-5 seconds.
The plug is also equipped with air nozzles for the dimensional inspection of the cylinder bore.
The diameter size is displayed on the E9066 electronic unit.
The E70s electronic unit is connected to 10 ND sensors that simultaneously scan the whole part surface for crack and porosity test.
High-definition color display, ergonomic membrane keyboard to avoid the typical problems of the touch screen solutions: limited number of keys and interactive human interface with icons (ISO 7000 standard), are the elements that allow the operator to work rapidly and effectively with the E70s.
The operations that are used more frequently are easily performed with the presence of function keys (hot keys) that can be freely programmed by the operator.
The retentive memory of the E70s allows storage of 256 different sets of parameters and to call them out through the machine logic unit, avoiding the complete involvement of the operator.
The equipment has been developed in compliance with the European Community directives on safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
The sub-groups of E70s are housed in a suitably protected and insulated case made of self-extinguishing materials that do not emit any dioxins and furans.
