PROBING
MUPS, the Marposs Ultra Probing System, is a wireless touch probe for cutting machine tools. It improves machining by enabling accurate part positioning and tool checking. Using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, MUPS ensures reliable communication without interference. Its compact and sturdy design works reliably even in tough machine conditions.
Among a wide range of no-contact tool setters, the flagship solution is VTS, Visual Tool SetterThis system measures tools on machining centers using an integrated micro-camera, capturing multiple images at different angular positions. It provides exceptionally precise measurements of tool length and diameter, down to tools as small as 10 microns.
MACHINE PROTECTION & CONTROL
GEM CMS is the collision monitoring solution that minimizes machine, tool, and workpiece damage by detecting both dynamic and quasi-static collisions in less than 1 ms, even during setup. By sensing structural deformation rather than just acceleration, GEM CMS ensures faster reactions, longer machine life, higher availability, and safe unattended operation. Event and process data are fully logged and exported for advanced analysis and Industry 4.0 integration, with no learning cycle required.
