Marposs Becomes a Group
After the year 2000 it began a program of acquisitions of solid, well-structured companies, each able to supply a top quality product in its field.
A first acquisition (Jan 2000) involved MILLENNIUM AUTOMATION, a company specialising in the high-tech sector, located at the heart of California's Silicon Valley.
Then Brescia-based MG was acquired (Jun 2000). MG is a well-known leader in the supply of go / no go gauges, masters and leak test equipment.
The process of acquisitions went on; after 2006 the group has grown by adding the French company TRACE (Sep 2006), specializing in leak test equipment, the American CONTROL GAGING (Oct 2007), well known in the field of grinder controls, the French KERN (Jan 2008), supplier of mechanical gauges for automotive and aerospace industries, the German ARTIS (Oct 2008) and SANTEC (Oct 2011), manufacturers of process and machine monitoring systems and the Italian HETECH (Mar 2010), specializing in leak testing systems using helium as tracing gas.
All these companies were leaders in their fields, but operated within local areas; joining Marposs group, they take a great benefit from the worldwide presence of Marposs, with its capillary sales and service network able to reach customers anywhere.
On the other hand, thanks to these acquisitions, Marposs expands the range of products and solutions, thus enhancing the capability to satisfy customers' needs.
The whole group has today more than 2130 direct employees. About 930 work at the Italian headquarters and at the other Italian premises, 360 in the rest of Europe, 240 in America and 600 in Asia.
