INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES

What are Cookies?

The MARPOSS S.p.A. website (hereafter referred to as the “Site”) uses cookies to make its services simple and efficient for the user consulting the pages. The users who access the Site will find minimum quantities of information inserted in the devices in use, whether it is a PC or a mobile peripheral device, in small text files called “cookies” stored in the directories used by the user’s web browser. There are various types of cookies; some to make the use of the Site more efficient and others to enable certain functions.

Site management cookies

These are the so-called first part cookies, that is, those sent and used directly by the Site.
The Site uses “technical” cookies, that is, cookies used for navigation or to provide a service requested by the user. Without these it would not be possible to carry out certain operations or they would be more complex. The “technical” cookies are subdivided as follows:

- Navigation or session cookies
These cookies guarantee normal navigation and use of the Site (e.g. authentication in a reserved area), and are therefore aimed at optimising the navigation inside the Site and making it functional. These cookies are always activated and are necessary for the functionality of the Site. They include cookies which allow the user to be remembered when navigating the site within a single session or, if requested, from one session to another. If they are blocked, the Site does not operate correctly.

- Functionality cookies
These cookies allow the user to navigate on the basis of a series of selected criteria to improve the use of the Site (e.g. language, font sizes). The functionality cookies strictly necessary to provide the services explicitly requested by the user are installed. In some cases, these cookies improve the speed with which we can process your request, they enable us to recall the preferences of the Site selected by you and they facilitate the connection with your social networks. If they are blocked, the navigation is less functional, but it is not compromised. The block may result in the slowing down of the performance of the Site and it may not be possible to efficiently share content with Facebook, Twitter or other social networks.

Third-party cookies

These are the cookies sent and used by a website other than the Marposs Site.
Exclusively analytical cookie by Google Analytics are present.
The Site uses the service offered by Google Analytics in order to have a complete and reliable statistics service regarding the use of the site. In order to guarantee the privacy of the users in the most rigorous way possible, in accordance with the indications given by the data protection Authority, it should be noted that we have rendered the IPs anonymous (Google Analytics will therefore render the IP address of the user/visitor anonymous as soon as this is technically possible in the passage further upstream of the network in which the data is collected).
Moreover, the Site manager has also modified the “data sharing” settings with Google analytics, and, therefore, Google must use the personal data recorded by means of the service only within the limits of the instructions given by the Site manager and must not share them with other Google services.
In view of the above points, the user is informed that the advertising and data sharing options with Google have not been activated and that Google Analytics has not been connected to any additional service: the data treatment is therefore performed solely for statistical purposes and therefore, on the basis of what is explicitly provided for by the data protection Authority, the Analytics cookies have been considered equivalent to the technical cookies and, as such, installed without the prior consent of the user.

Profiling cookies

These cookies are aimed at creating user profiles, in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences highlighted by the individual user during navigation.
Profiling cookies used by the Site manager or by third parties are NOT present.

Installation/disabling of cookies. Browser options

The user may oppose the recording of the cookies on the relative device by configuring the browser used for the navigation: if the Site is used without changing the browser settings, it is assumed that the user intends to receive all the cookies used by the Site and to make use of all the functionalities.

It should be noted that the user can prevent the use of some or all the above-mentioned cookies by configuring the browser used for the navigation, and more specifically by disabling or activating the cookies of the following browsers by clicking on the relative link:

Links to other sites

Some of the pages of the Site can contain links to other websites which are not controlled by the Site manager and personal data are not shared with these sites.
The Site manager may not be held responsible for the content, security or privacy measures used by other sites and expressly declines any responsibility.
