Marposs announces the easiest and smartest way to check hardness.

The new Marposs measuring head has been designed to check surface hardness on shaft-like parts in shop floor environments using the HRC or HRA scale. The main features of the new system are:

• Wide range measuring head that is capable of inspecting all types of automotive shafts
• Electromechanically actuated indenter
• Surface hardness inspection of Main and Pin bearings over 360°
• Surface hardness inspection of toothed wheels
• Surface hardness inspection on camlobes (HRA or HRC)

The system can be fully integrated into the production line for 100% automatic inspection (automatic machine) or for an Audit based inspection (Semi-Automatic Bench). The Marposs E9066 Industrial PC will be used to collect statistical data allowing users to keep the production process under control.

This new inspection equipment for hardness testing on shaft-like parts represents a major step forward in the quality control survey in the shop floor environment thanks to its flexibility and reliability.
