Marposs is pleased to announce the launch of Visi Quick^TM, a vision system for glass containers inspection, at Glasstec 2008 (Düsseldorf 21-25/10/2008).

Visi Quick^TM is a flexible measuring machine, using a high-resolution smart camera, suitable for dimensional and geometric inspection of a large variety of glass containers having different size, shape and colour.

The container to be measured is back-illuminated by a diffusive light source. Its image is taken by a telecentric lens and focused on the high-resolution CCD matrix sensor of the camera.

Visi Quick^TM is available either in stand-alone configuration, with manual or automatic loading/unloading, or to be integrated in the production line for sample checking.

It can measure all the standard characteristics of glass containers, such as:

• height
• external body dimensions (diameter, roundness, taper)
• lean/bent neck
• tilt
• straightness of the labelling area
• finish parameters on different finish types (cork, crown cork, screw finish)
• corkage inside diameter, roundness and taper
• weight (optional).

Other parameters can be evaluated upon request.

A Microsoft Windows© based software, installed in the E9066T^TM Industrial PC, provides a simple and intuitive user interface.
