The proposed system provides a single vacuum chamber, with automatic opening and closing, positioned on an electro-welded and painted steel frame, covered with removable panels. The vacuum chamber is open upwards and the lid slides horizontally and sideways: in this way the overlying space remains free to allow the use of a robot to perform the automatic loading and unloading of the pieces. Access is possible from two sides: from the front, protected by optical barriers, the manual loading/unloading will be performed, while the automatic loading/unloading will be performed from the back. The pumps are positioned under the vacuum chambers for chamber evacuation, analysis and component evacuation. On one side of the frame is placed the cabinet containing the electrical panel, the analysis system and process gas management and distribution valves. The HMI is made by a touch-screen colour monitor and two remote control boxes (one for each chamber) with the push-buttons and the light signals for the operator. Separate inlet and outlet ports are provided so that the machine is suitable to be connected to a helium recovery system.
