This individual will assist Aerospace Market Development Manager in developing market and sales strategies to increase visibility and increase sales for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) tool supply and Marposs gauging, process monitoring and tooling products into the Aerospace industry. In addition, establish and maintain successful relationship with MRO and manufacturing site customers, suppliers, design and development team.
Investigate market applicable manufacturer's independently and/or together with sales force and product management
Coordinate sales opportunities with inside sales staff to respond to new sales opportunities
Seek and Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following website leads and leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, clubs, attending trade shows and conferences.
Provide post trade-show follow-up for select targets, including tracking new sales leads to progress the sales opportunity to next action step
Coordinate sales presentations to prospective clients
Conduct follow-up calls with existing clients to maintain client relationships
Ability to make high impact presentations
Gather pertinent data to keep sales and marketing strategies/plans on track
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent business or technical knowledge
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Project management skills
Strong knowledge in reading and understanding engineering drawings
Minimum 2-3 years outside customer relations and sales experience
Excellent and proactive oral and written communication skills with ability to interact and maintain relationships with both customers and all-level employees
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and client service skills
Metrology background a plus
Military service a plus
Extensive travel possible. Travel per week dependent on ongoing active activities and opportunities. Would also take into consideration International travel (i.e. Mexico, Italy and France).
