Marposs, following the technical evolution of automotive market, has re-engineered M2 snap gauge line used for inspecting crankshaft journal and pin bearings. Special attention has been applied to four specifics area's of concern:

• Gauge sturdiness by designing a single-piece body
• Ease of use thanks to a new rigid handle
• Interchangeability of wearable details
• Improvement of lead time.

Also this product release guarantees to provide from 1 to 3 measuring sections (for inspection of diameters ranging from 20 to 107,5 mm, ovality, barrel shape and taper) as well as a Part Temperature Probe on specific request.Two versions are foreseen:

• M2 AIR, using pneumatic technology and available in Autumn 2007
• M2 ELECTRON, using electronic technology and available from 2008
