Since 1991 Unindustria and Marposs have been jointly promoting international education in the name of Mario Possati, thus contributing to integration and enhancement of young talents who now hold positions of responsibility in key roles of international relations, world economy and world finance.

The "Mario Possati" Memorial Fellowship, which Unindustria Bologna and Marposs S.p.A. together endow with an East European qualified student of SAIS Europe at Bologna, has been assigned this year to Gabor Debreczeni, 27 years old. Gabor Debreczeni was born in Budapest, Hungary, but grew up in a suburb of Miami, Florida. He studied Economics and Journalism at Yale University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 with honors. Among other honors, he won Yale's undergraduate mathematics competition and was selected as a member of Yale's three-person intercollegiate mathematics team. While in college, he interned as a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. After graduation, he worked as an emerging markets trader at Jane Street Capital fund where he began his experience with an internship in Tokyo, then spent a little over three years as a full-time trader in New York and London.

He was inspired to return to school by a realization that his lifelong interest in urban studies and his education and experience in global economics intersect perfectly in the world of international development. He will be studying International Development at SAIS and hopefully working in the field afterwards, perhaps at a large multilateral development bank.

Gabor Debreczeni has worked on three continents and has lived in five countries. He speaks English and Hungarian, has a passable command of Spanish and will be learning French while at SAIS.

The Memorial Fellowship dedicated to the founder of Marposs was formally handed out at Marposs Headquarters in Bentivoglio on April 16, 2015.  The ceremony was hosted by Stefano Possati and Edoardo Possati (president and vice-president) and attended by Alberto Vacchi (president of Unindustria Bologna), Michael G. Plummer and Gabriella Chiappini from SAIS Europe at Bologna (director and director of development respectively) and the awardee Gabor Debreczeni.
